My name is Shane McClafferty, owner of HomeCert Inspections, LLC, proudly based in Nutley, New Jersey. I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and my home inspection services, designed to bring reliability, integrity, and peace of mind.
Originally from Ireland, I bring a unique global perspective and over a decade of hands-on experience in the construction industry—including time with both NJ Electrical Union Local 102 and NYC Carpenters Union Local 608, as well as two years working in Europe. This background has given me a deep understanding of building systems and construction standards.
In addition to my work in construction, I currently serve as a New Jersey State Trooper. This role has sharpened my attention to detail and strengthened my commitment to public trust—qualities I bring to every home inspection.
I am a licensed New Jersey Home Inspector, having completed my certification through Bergen County Technical School. I also hold certifications as a Radon Measurement Technician through the NJ Department of Environmental Protection and carry full insurance to perform mold, termite, and underground oil tank inspections.
I offer thorough, accurate inspections with a professional approach with clear communication. My goal is to be supporting with dependable service and timely reporting.
